The Clans
The Scottish Clans (families) are the backbone of today’s Scottish Games. Many, many Americans have Scottish ancestry — check among the clan tents to perhaps find that your great-great-great grandmother was Scottish after all! The largest of the Scottish Clans is Clan Donald; go by the Clan Donald tent to see if your name is among those listed; if you see a family name, ask Clan Donald US genealogist Jim McDonald, who will be at the genealogy tent or at Clan Donald, if you belong to Clan Donald.

Ceilidh
In Gaelic, the language of Old Scotland, Ceilidh means “A Gathering of Friends.” This is The Party after the Games, where there will be music, friends and food. This is a chance to sit back, relax after a full day of Highland Games, and enjoy new friends and entertainment. Gael Warning and The Savannah Ceilidh Band will perform.
